The country takes every measure to protect the mountain kingdom’s environment and culture. Each time of the year comes with its own beauty in Bhutan.
WHAT’S THE BEST TIME TO FLY TO BUTAN?
The Himalayan beauty is a sight to see in each time of the year. Although, Bhutan is most vibrant in the months of September, October and November where the fields and mountains are lush green with clear skies these would be the perfect time to plan your holiday to Bhutan!
Plenty of Places to Meditate
A country that is far from the concreate jungle of the modern world, free from pollution, the beauty of mother nature is very much seen everywhere you look! The urge to sit under a tree or simply sit on a rock overlooking the magnificent valleys and meditate is a must do during your wellness trip to Bhutan.
One of my favorite experiences was the meditation at Zhiwa Ling where the large balconies opening to the outside with the sound of nothing but the water flowing from the nearby streams my vacation in Bhutan couldn’t be better than this!
Be a little adventurous and try some yoga outdoors maybe overlooking the Thimpu valley with a breathing backdrop of Bhutan’s nature. I tried some tree poses each click is picture perfect!
Bhutan is aiming to be a 100% organic produced country by 2020. During your holiday in Bhutan try their local cuisines. I loved the organic brown rice, home grown potatoes and chilies. Bhutan is a country that has zero animal killings hence most of their cuisines are vegetables and farm cheese based cuisines. Healthy yet mouthwatering organic meals during your stay, can your wellness vacation in Bhutan get better than this?
Community Service and Volunteering

Lift Your Vibration
A country of peace and serenity. Bhutan is a true wellness destination! During my stay at Zhiwa Ling I had the most amazing healing experience. The spa manager at Zhiwa Ling was an exceptional healer! He could channel energies from the universe and cleanse your aura using singing bowls. Simply lie down and let the universe take over. Leave all your worries behind as you lift your vibration into a higher frequency.
Treat Yourself at a Bhutanese Spa
Bhutan is home to few of the world’s leading luxury resort chains. My spa experience at Taj Tashi was an amazing luxury experience. A touch of Indian Ayurveda blended with the Bhutanese vibe was an out of this world experience.
Bhutanese Traditional Hot Stone Baths
Treat your body and feet with some pampering Bhutanese hot stone baths. These baths are filled with mineral that will help your body ease off from your vacation in Bhutan. The soothing weather will calm your soul as you indulge in this refreshing Bhutanese treatment.
Over Night In A Bhutanese Monastery
My last day at this Himalayan paradise was at a Bhutanese Monastery. Listening to the prayers sent out to the universe by monks and simply being present at this moment meditating was an inexplicable experience. The night sky lit by millions of stars as I was surrounded by the mystic Himalayan mountains, this was not my typical wellness holiday with dedicated yoga sessions. Yet, I left Bhutan feeling free and at peace promising that I will return to this majestic Himalayan kingdom.
