We have decided to walk you through the 7-day experience these ladies received and it’s time that we tell you that after reading all the way through to the bottom you will definitely want to pack your bags and head to Sri Lanka with your girlfriends.
If you’re thinking that Ayurveda is something that you should try, we are going to tell you that it’s something that you should NOT MISS OUT ON! If you want to keep your skin healthy, keep your body healthy and be fit and active, not just with your body but with your mind as well, Ayurveda is the holistic system you should turn your path to and you will see the reason why with this experience of these lovely ladies.
Day 01: Entering the World of Ayurveda
It’s the Day 01 of the journey to discovering the hidden elements of Ayurveda. We do like to play it like a movie in our minds just because it was actually something similar as to entering a different world. The world of Ayurveda is completely different from the chemical driven world we live every day. During the first day, the ambiance of the resort created a different surrounding and scenery for the ladies and we have to say, even we were surprised by how calming and refreshing it was to escape the modern life.
Yoga sessions were the highlight of the day 01 and the sessions addressed the individual needs of everyone and after the morning yoga session it was time to head over for the treatments and the consultations with the Ayurvedic Doctors to analyze the body type and address the imbalance of the doshas
The difference between the wellness holiday you experienced and the wellness retreat these ladies experienced is that Ayurveda and Yoga sessions help you become a better version of yourself and it’s not just limited to your holiday timeline, it lasts for a long time because you change your lifestyle.
And of course, we cannot forget the meals during the day, can we? The meals were arranged as for the needs of each lady. And we have to confess, the food was devilishly delicious as it was healthy.
Day 02 - 03: Relax, Take some cooking lessons & Explore Sri Lanka
A vacation isn’t a vacation if you don’t explore the cultures, the lands and the people and even their lifestyles. During these two the ladies enjoyed long walks on the beach and witnessed the lifestyles of Sri Lankans and were amazed at the joy Sri Lanka had to offer them.
We know it that Sri Lanka has a lot to offer to all the wellness travelers but what we did not know is that how much they loved the experience and wanted to explore more and more because they were filled with adventure and wanderlust. During the second day of their stay, the ladies enjoyed their food. And we must say there were productive conversations and friendships that developed.
Yes, the Day 02 of the vacation was a relaxing and a rejuvenating experience. But then came Day 03 where the ladies got their chance to experience or rather explore their culinary art & skills. The ladies had the chance to learn about Ayurvedic Meals and preparations and it was a blast in the kitchen as the ladies got to try their own Ayurvedic dishes with the Chef at the resort.
And yes, taking notes down and the recipes and ingredients will help to keep the meal schedule even if you go back to your home country. The sessions were planned out easily where the ladies could enjoy themselves and their getaway in Sri Lanka while having a life-changing experience with Ayurveda Medicine.
Day 04: Deep into Ayurveda We Go
Day 04 was back to Ayurveda and treatments sort of a day for the ladies. The Panchakarma treatments and the yoga sessions the ladies experienced them detoxified their bodies of harmful toxins and completely refreshed them with Ayurvedic Treatments.
Yoga sessions were connected to the Ayurvedic Treatments. The ladies were given Ayurveda yoga tips to improve their overall wellbeing and self-care routines to nourish the mind-body connection and balance the doshas.
Day 05: Music Therapy to your soul
It was the last day of the Ayurvedic wellness journey and the last day was the most memorable and healing experience for some of the ladies as it included music therapy that tuned out the stress in the body. During the beginning of the Ayurvedic & Kundalini Yoga retreat, the ladies identified the imbalances in their doshas with the help of the Ayurveda Doctors at the resort. During the last day of the retreat, they are given guidance and treatments and therapies to cultivate the body’s internal energy and how to balance the doshas.
And we cannot leave out how meditation and yoga were embedded deep into the retreat programme to create an Ayurvedic routine that helps to create a deep connection with the body and mind.
And at last, sadly, we had to part ways with the lovely ladies and their yogi, Saraswati Kaur. And we could such delighted and radiant personalities walking out of the resort after going through a process of healing with the Ayurvedic Treatments. And now these ladies can use Ayurveda to get healthier every time they eat with the cooking lessons they received during their 03rd day of the retreat.
